Sara might not have been the one to bring the day-old crack den kitten home, but she kept him that first day, and gets him to eat with ease. That's pretty much the most amazing thing I've ever heard. 'Nuff said.

Chriss is my favorite MC to rap battle. I remember my first day at my job now, and seeing her in staff meeting, I thought two things about Chriss -the first was that she has awesome style, and the second that I really really wanted to be friends with her. Lucky for me, Chriss is very open and accepting of people. I count myself as lucky that almost every day, Chriss does something hilarious and inspirational.

Amy D. knows some of the most interesting people in the city, and she knows all of the most awesome things to do here. She also gave me my favorite nickname to date (pronounced gee-gers). And if that weren't enough, she's always super insightful. One of the things I've cherished most from this job was getting a valentine from Amy D. Thank you for being so supportive during that super rough patch!

Leah, the greatest stylist in the world, does the most adorable Irish accent in the world. She throws killer parties. She's brilliant. And she made me a big city tamborine!!! I've got some great plans for the next time you come to NYC, and I'll even have air conditioning!

Once, for my birthday, Julie asked me what I wanted and I told her love. I thought she'd just introduce me to a hawt lawyer friend, but instead she made me the most beautiful and hilarious representation of love, using our shared experiences and feathers. I treasure it always. Thanks, Julie, for having so much love to give, and understanding the kind of love that is precious to me!

Deanna is a mover and a shaker. She is always prepared, and takes care of me when I hurt myself. Most importantly, Deanna comes up with the greatest nicknames ever. If you ever hear that she has nicknamed you, be glad. I know lamkins is!

Possibly the most awesome and fearsome thing about Desiree is her boundless energy. No, wait, I typed too soon. The most awesome thing about Desiree is that she helped my mom clean out my stuff when selling her house while I was across the country. Desiree saved all of the things that I loved most, for which I will be eternally grateful. The most fearsome thing about Desiree is how much dirt she has on me! I promise to never make you mad babes!

Daryl is the reason why I know about anything cool. He also comes up with the best boredom-busting mind-stretching games ever! My cap goes off to this man amongst boys, this provider of hilarity and delicious baked goods, this instigator of conversations that are waaaaaaaay over my head. Cheers buddy. Now let's go to soccer practice.

K-Bomb is heading out for a while and I will miss her so! I will especially miss talking to her about True Blood, making dinner, and having someone ask me how my day is going. I hope everyone has someone in their life who expresses interest in the mundane as well as the extraordinary. It fosters sanity. Seriously. While she's away, I'm hoping that Kristen will pick up on some awesome Bulgarian catch phrases that I can steal. Miss you!

So speaking of Aunt Jane, she can't print out the blog for Gogo if she doesn't get her card! My Aunt is magic! With so much going on in her life - the three cutest grandsons ever, her job, and traveling with her hilarious and talented husband - she continuously goes above and beyond to make the people around her feel comfortable and loved. Ok, so maybe magic was the wrong word, but superhero definitely fits!

My grandmother (who my cousin Stacie dubbed "Gogo" in her infancy) will probably never get to read this blog, unless my Aunt Jane prints it out and takes it to her. She truly is brilliant, and has the most dedicated work ethic in the world. And even with all of those smarts and ingenuity, she still finds projects for me to help her with when I come to visit, which makes me feel like I'm 10 feet tall and bullet-proof.

My mom is awesome. She is the nicest person I know. When she was little, her family nicknamed her Busy Becky from a picture she colored, and she continues that same industrious attitude to this day.

A long time ago, my dad gave me a big speech about how fathers have such a hard time because they take a back seat to mothers in being recognized by their children (i.e. when random people get on tv, they'll say "Hi Mom" before mentioning their dad). So, Papa Bear, here you can come first. La la love you!

First Project

I've been way too lazy lying around with Zion, so that's gotta end. The first project will begin tomorrow. It's been difficult to choose just one but I've settled on Love Notes for the first. Don't worry, yours is coming soon!
